james's time in australia
hey room 16 it james having fun in australia.yersterday we went gold detecting at a place called orabanda and found 3 gold nuggetts each worth 30$ but my aunties boyfriend has heaps of gold worth 1000's of dollars..last night we went and saw the avengers .also2morrow we r going to the place called esperance.oooo and tell mr king i shall get him a present

Hangi
Hangi
Hangi is a traditional New Zealand Maori method of cooking food using heated materials buried in a pit oven still used for special occasions.
It's my first time to experience watching a Hangi.
At 5:30 in the morning, they started to burn the firewood and metal.
After 2 and a half hours, it looks like this. For safety, Mr King had a fire extinguisher.
Right over here, you can see the vegetables and meats that will be cooked.
This thing is called a burner; the modern way to do the Hangi.
After 30 minutes they started to put the metal in the pit.
Now, you can see them stacking the vegetables and meats at the pit with the heated metals below.
Next, they covered the food with white wet cloth, wet sacks and black plastic.
Finally, the black plastic is covered with soil to trap the heat in the pit in order to cook the food underneath.
At the same time they were also putting the other vegetables and meats at the burner.
Finally, it's also done… waiting the food to be cooked.
