Little Girl
Little Girl pretending to be in the sea,
Swimming is natural, swimming so free.
Little Girl on a race, embrace your strokes.
Follow your Destiny.
Little Girl trying to perfect the stroke,
Struggling so hard, not giving up.
Little Girl, you feel the beat of your heart,
For theirs no going back to the start.
Little Girl arms filled with pain,
Let your tears be washed away with the rain.
Little Girl, Aren't you tired?
This race is too long you're hurting inside.
Little Girl, stop reaching for the edge,
In her eyes you belong at the end.
Little Girl pretending to be in the sea,
You're nearly at the end, maybe???
Little Girl the water is your home,
for you are loved and never alone.

ReplyDeleteWhen I get into the water I start to swim, but soon I realise the lights have gone dim.
Uh-oh the goggles have gone misty, I better be careful this could be risky.
I have to get to the end I cannot stop, but I have to stop or I will drop!
All I’m doing is thinking and thinking, uh-oh now I am sinking.
I suddenly stand up and to my surprise, I’ve reached the end and my eyes have become wide.
